Once you are done with the installation, so now we will learn how we can find the targeted keyword for our website for free through SEOquake.

Make a list of keywords first

First I would recommend to make a list of keywords which you want to target. For examples, I wanted to write an article on the pricing or plan details of SEMrush keyword tool. So, I started looking for keyword related to SEMrush using various methods. So, I filtered around 10 keywords related to SEMrush plan details. Now, I wanted to least competitive keyword among these keywords. So, I started searching each keyword in search engine and checking the website which have already used that keyword. Now, here the SEO-quake help us a lot in finding the best keyword of our blog. Finally, I selected “SEMrush pricing” as my targeted keyword after doing a research through the SEOquake add-on or extension of Firefox and chrome. So, let us check how I found this keyword less competitive than the other keywords.

SEOquake analytics for choosing keywords

As you know the SEOquake shows all the basic information about the website just below the URL of the post in horizontal bar. So, by using this extension or add-on you can save lot of time. So, SEO quake gives most of the important information like Alexa rank, SEMrush rank, linked domain, domain linked to the page, age of the domain etc. This information is very vital for choosing a correct keyword for your domain. Now, we will find out how SEMrush pricing is the best keyword to target.

When I searched “SEMrush pricing” in the google search engine, I saw the first three result as shown below.

Obviously, SEMrush website will be on the top of SERP for SEMrush pricing. If you come down you can see www.shoutmeloud.com domain as well. Now, this website ranked is 3.90K which is really amazing and also the linked domain to the post are good, around 15 domains are linked to this post as shown above. Now, the first three search results are difficult to beat if we write an article on keyword “SEMrush pricing”.

Now, let us see the other top 10 results for “SEMrush pricing” in the below screenshot.

Now, here the situation is totally different. The page of all these domains have zero (0) links as shown above. If you know about the domain authority and page authority, both are calculated on the basis of number of domain referring or linked to that website. So, if not a single domain is linked to page, the page authority will be close to zero. So, here is the best chance to now replace these spot by writing an SEO optimized article on “SEMrush pricing”

Another method to find keyword information

One more tool you can use to find keywords for you blog. I am using www.kwfinder.com s another tool to use along with SEOquake add-on or extension. Now, when I searched SEMrush pricing in this tool I got the below result. Now this tool is having only paid version  but it is also good keyword research tool for blogger, do use it if you can spend some money.

So, here you can see the keyword competitiveness is easy. The average search volume is 170 per month. The Page authority (1) is also below 20 as shown above, which is considered as super easy to beat. So, in top 10 search engine result you have three spot to replace.

Now, if you write an SEO optimized article on “SEMrush Pricing” you can easily beat the above results. So, finally SEO-quake has proved to be a great add-on or extension in Firefox or chrome to gives us quality results. Do share your thought on SEOquake in the comment section.
