Google Keyword Planner
If you have used google keyword planner, you would have seen three option in competition tab for keywords, Low, Medium and High. So, if you are having a blog new, you can choose the keywords with low competition. And if you have good ranking and high backlinks you can choose keywords of high and medium competition.
As you can see above, the low, medium and high competition keywords shown in google keyword planner. You can filter the option in the competition tab to choose only Low competitive keywords. So, this way you can find the difficulty level of keywords of your targeted keywords.

As I have said, SEMrush, is one of the best tool to find the required keywords for your blog. If you are aware of this tool, you will know that there is an option to check the keyword difficulty level in the Keywords Analytics tab. Now, as you see above we have to just enter our keyword in the given box and you will get the result instantly. Now, here the difficulty level is shown in Percentage %. Hence, if the keyword percentage is high (more than 65%) it will be more competitive. If the percentage is 50 to 65%, it is easily to target and get your blog post on the first page of search engine. If the keyword difficulty percentage is less than 50%, then that keyword have been used very less and you can easily target that keyword.

This is also one amazing place, where you can check the keyword difficulty level of your targeted keyword. You have to just visit www.kwfinder.com and enter you keyword, country you are targeting and the language. You will get all the details about your keyword as shown below.
As you can see above for “blogging tips” which I have searched, it shows the difficult level here as 62 %, which is really hard to rank in search engines. Here, if the keyword percentage is below 40%, then it can be easily ranked in search engines. In free account, you have only two keywords to search and in premium account you can search many keywords. So, do use this keyword tool as well, to check the difficulty level of the keyword in the search engines.

You can check the keyword difficulty using Moz.com as. You have to just visit the below linke.
